Friendly Welcome
Thank you for your help - this project has now closed
Friendly Welcome was formed in 2021 by a group of Londoners who wanted to respond to the hardships and losses suffered by refugees around the world. The government’s community sponsorship scheme offered a supported way for us to make a difference to one family’s lives, and we were able to welcome a family in November 2022.
Two years on, they are now happily settled and living independently as part of our community. It has been a privilege to share their journey over the last two years, and we hope that our friendship with them will carry on long into the future.
Now that the formal work of Friendly Welcome is over, it is time to say goodbye and a huge ‘THANK YOU!’ to everyone who has supported us and the family over the last two years. We couldn’t have done it without you.
